Maison Gorey Hotel - Grouville

The venue is ideal, exceptionally clean and the location is unbeatable and excellent just next door to the Maison Gorey, a bus stop that is well-serviced by frequent buses into St Helier and a magnificent castle of Mont Orgueil and the beach of Gorey. The units are well-appointed and nice cosy with access to a tv lounge.

No real warm welcome upon arrival!!! Wi-fi connection was poor. Reception often unmanned, leading to confusion over bike rental arrangements!!!

my stay was improved with the really good breakfast options and the excellent location, with a lovely stroll to gorey harbour easily in reach and the gorgeous queen's valley reservoir just a short walk away.

And don't even get me started on the ghostly reception, sometimes no one was around. I expected a welcome gift or at least an upgrade for enduring this, but I guess special treatment isn't in their playbook. Disappointing, really.

I enjoyed my stay, finding the room comfortable and clean. The lovely staff were helpful, but I noticed reception was often empty. The beach was a quick walk away, which I appreciated. I had a good breakfast with a decent variety. I experienced a bit of confusion regarding bike rentals, as the staff didn't communicate all details clearly.

The breakfast was a feast in itself, offering a full English breakfast and fresh fruit. The beach was just a short walk away-perfect for working off those pastries!

The location of the hotel is very convenient. A two-minute walk to the bus station makes it easy to explore. The shower in my room was fantastic. Water pressure and temperature exceeded my expectations. The staff was helpful and friendly during my four-night stay. Nearby, there are lovely dining options as well.

The decor in some common areas looked slightly dated.

While the staff were friendly and accommodating, it seemed they were stretched thin, especially during busy periods, impacting service efficiency. Parking options were limited at the hotel, requiring a bit of a walk to find suitable spots, which could be inconvenient for some guests.

Stayed here for 3 nights and it was spotlessly clean. The room was super comfy, and the staff were really friendly and helpful, especially michael. Loved the breakfast, good choice of stuff like full english and fresh fruit. It was just a short walk to the beach and some nice restaurants, so location was great!

only issue was that it got kinda noisy at night with the door slamming and my room was a bit tiny for the price.
